Get out of my own way #2--Glow and the Dark caving

Even though I haven't been posting, I have been keep a list of the things that I have been doing to "get out of my own way." I will post each of them individually.

Back in October I was asked by a group of friends to go glow-in-the-dark caving. Not normally my cup of tea, but I needed to stop saying "no" and do something that makes me get out of my comfort zone. I had a blast! There is a lava rock cave up in Rexburg, ID where about 20 of us wearing all black met. We had about 75 glow-in-the-dark sticks (the kind that are used for emergencies). We cut them open and splattered them all over ourselves and over the lava rocks. Then we he played hide-and-go-seek, with us hiding among the rocks. What fun! I ended up winning the first round, and I was hiding in place right in front of everyone.
I was so glad that I did not say no. I made made some new friends and I discovered something new that I enjoyed.
Sometimes the best thing for us is something that makes us nervous.
